Ways to use:

• Stain remover: Wet the stain and rub it with a moistened bar of soap. Spread the lather over the garment, let it sit for 10 minutes, and rinse with clean water. Repeat the process if the stain isn't completely removed. Then machine wash the garment.
• Laundry detergent: Grate your bar of soap. Dilute a small handful of the resulting shavings (20g) in 1L of hot water. Shake and let it sit for 24 hours. Stir again and add 1L of cold water. A hand-held electric mixer works very well. This is when you can add a few drops of essential oil of your choice (lavender, citrus, lemon, etc.). Your eco-friendly laundry detergent is ready to use! Shake well before each use. It may become a bit of a paste while it's sitting. This is normal. Add water as needed and stir well. There you go!
• Cleaning delicate clothes: Grate a little Marseille soap into warm to hot water to dissolve it and make your water soapy. It's a vegetable-based soap, so it doesn't dissolve as well in cold water. Then soak the delicate laundry and rinse it in clean water afterward, or machine wash it.
